debut de la 4eme semaine / start of the 4th week

La semaine a pas mal commence puisque j'ai croise Virgil Donati lundi 24/10 au matin dans les couloirs du M.I.! http://www.virgildonati.com/
De plus, Jennifer m'a demande de venir avec elle pour acheter une batterie a son fils! On a ete dans des magasins incroyables comme le "Professional Drum Shop" ou j'ai vu la derniere batterie sur laquelle a joue Buddy Rich au Hollywood Palladium (photos), l'enorme "Guitare Center", magasin specialise dans les instruments de musique, ainsi que "Sam Ash", magasin mythique dedie a la batterie! Et samedi soir, Mathilde, mon amie qui travaille au Consulat de France m'a amene dans une soiree chez le frere de la chanteuse Gwen Stephanie, qui faisait partie du groupe No Doubt. La decoration Halloween etait incroyable! Il y avec un retro-projecteur projetant le film l'Exorciste sur le toit de la "guest house"!
Ce vendredi 28/10, j'ai ete invite a dinner chez le President du Rotary Club d'Hollywood. (photo)Ambiance tres sympathique. Ferris et sa femme Debbie ont 3 enfants et chacun un copin/copine+ quelques amis de passage aussi... ce qui fait qu'on s'est vite retrouve a une douzaine de personnes autour de la table! Ferris m'avait demande d'inviter Elissa, une etudiante qui est egalement au M.I. (son pere vit en Afrique et est egalement membre du Rotary) Ferris est d'origine Libanaise et Elissa aussi... on reconnait bien la fameuse hospitailte du bord de la mediterrannee!...

More, Jennifer asked me to go with her to buy a drumset for her son. We went together in incredible stores like "Professional Drum Shop" where I saw the last drumset Buddy Rich played on the last time at Hollywood Palladium (photos), the huge "Guitare Center", and "Sam Ash", a very famous drum shop!

Saturday night, Mathilde, my friend who works at French consulate invited me to a Halloween party. It was at the brother's home of the singer Gwen Stephanie, who was in the band "No Doubt". The Halloween decoration was amazing! There was a projector and we could see the movie "Exorcist" on the roof of the guest house!

Friday october 28th, I was invited to have a dinner at Ferris Wehbe who is the President of Hollywood's Rotary Club. (photo) The atmosphere was very sympathic. Ferris and his wife Debbie have 3 children very kind. There were friends of them too and so, we were about 11 or 12 people around the table. Ferris asked me to invite Elissa, a M.I.'s student! Ferris comes from Lebanon, and Elissa too. (Her father lives in Africa, and is also a Rotarian ) We can recognize the legendary hospitality of the people from the mediterrannean sea...
