Ce week-end n'a pas ete tres anime en general. J'ai ete malade une bonne partie (et aussi et a part Samedi soir ou j'etais invite a la Grande Vente aux Encheres du District du Rotary Club, j'ai pas fait grand chose. Ferris Wehbe, le president du Rotary Club d'Hollywood ainsi que sa femme Debbie (photo) sont venus me chercher et on est alle sur le superbe bateau le "Queen Mary", qui est a quai dans le port de Long Beach, pres de L.A. Le Queen Mary est un vieux bateau qui faisait la transatlantique entre l'Europe et les USA mais qui ne navigue plus. Il a ete construit dans les annees folles et ce qui est formidable, c'est que tout est reste intact depuis. Le Queen Mary est entierement construit dans le style Art Deco. (photos)Hier, dimanche 13 Novembre, mon amie Mathilde, qui travaille au Consulat de France a Los Angeles, m'a invite a une projection du film de Bertrand Tavernier: Holy Lola. http://www.holylola.com/Le film est bon, il traite de l'adoption d'enfants par des parents francais qui se rendent au Cambodge. Bertrand Tavernier (qui a realise entre autres "Autour de Minuit", " Un dimanche a la campagne", "L.627", "Capitaine Conan"...) etait present et a parle pendant longtemps de son film et du sujet de l'adoption en general. This week-end was quiet because I was sick during few days. Nothing special to tell you except that on saturday night I went to the rotary fundation's Live auction... Ferris Wehbe, the president of the Hollywood's Rotary Club and his wife Debbie (photo) picked me up to go to the wonderful boat Queen Mqry in Long Beach, closed to L.A. This boat used to travel between Europe and North America in the 1920's. The Queen Mary is older than the yellow submarine but is amazing because it is intact and was made in an Art Deco style. Yesterday, Novembre 13rd, my friend Mathilde and the French Consulate in Los Angeles invited me to watch a Bertrand Tavernier's movie: Holy Lola. http://www.holylola.com/ It is good. The story is about adoption of children. French parents go to Cambodia to try to find a chid. Bertrand Tavernier (who has directed "Round about midnight", "L.627", "Captain Conan"...) was present and spoke a long time about his movie and about adoption in general. (photo)
